The five reasons

  • Concept gap

You didn’t know the rule, the formula or the idea.

  • Common trap

You picked a tempting wrong answer.

  • Rushed

You knew it, but went too fast.

  • Changed to wrong

You had it right, then changed it.

  • Left blank

You ran out of time or skipped it.

Questions about the mistake log

Why log the reason, not just the skill?

Two misses in one skill can need different fixes: a concept gap needs a lesson, a rushed answer needs pacing practice.

Which practice tests does it work with?

Any of them: Bluebook practice tests, Pathiva’s tests or a prep book. You type the question numbers yourself.

Is my log saved?

It stays in this browser, on this device. Download it as a CSV to keep a copy or open it in a spreadsheet.

How many questions are in each module?

27 in each Reading and Writing module and 22 in each Math module. Two questions in every module are unscored trial questions, and you can’t tell which.
