Questions about SAT scoring
How accurate is this?
It gives a range, not one number. Your real score depends on which questions you missed and which Module 2 you got.
Why does Module 2 matter?
The Digital SAT adapts: how you do in Module 1 decides whether Module 2 is easier or harder. The top scores are only within reach on the harder one.
How is the Digital SAT scored?
Each section is scored from 200 to 800, and the two add up to a total from 400 to 1600. Harder questions count for more, so two students with the same number right can get different scores.
How many questions can I miss for a 1400?
By this calculator’s estimate, about 9 in Reading and Writing and 7 in Math, if you get the harder Module 2 in both. The real number changes from test to test.
Do wrong answers cost points?
No. There’s no penalty for guessing, so answer every question.
Is this an official College Board calculator?
No. It’s Pathiva’s estimate. Only College Board scores official tests, and Bluebook practice tests come with their own scores.
Pathiva’s estimate, not an official score: only College Board scores the SAT. Bluebook™ is a trademark of the College Board.
